Celebrate RecoveryThe Bible teaches us that all have sinned. It is in our nature. Because of that, we have hurt ourselves, we have hurt others and others have hurt us. Celebrate Recovery is a Bible-based recovery program that addresses these hurts and helps us heal God's way. Because of Celebrate Recovery, multitudes of people are now enjoying victory and healing. While you may be familiar with other twelve-step programs, Celebrate Recovery is different in that rather dealing with a single issue, the program helps you overcome your hurts, habits and hang-ups. You might be surprised to know that alcohol and drugs represent only a third of the issues we deal with at Celebrate Recovery. If you've got any sort of hurt, habit or hang-up, we invite you to join us Friday nights at 6 in the gym for a delicious meal, amazing music and awesome stories from people who are on the road to recovery. Childcare is provided. Join us this Friday!Join Columbia Heights Assembly's Celebrate Recovery's Facebook group.

BeliefsThere is only one true God, revealed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Bible is God’s Word, and is true from cover to cover, down to the very words used.It is our guidebook that teaches us how to get to God, how to grow in our walk with God and how to live out our new lives with God.God created us for a purpose and for relationship with Him.Humans brought sin into the world through willful disobedience. Death and corruption have been a part of the world ever since. Because of that corruption, we now are unable to live in right relationship with God on our own. We need a perfect sacrifice on our behalf to be brought back into right relationship with Him.God loves us so much that He provided that perfect sacrifice through His sinless Son, Jesus Christ, who bore the weight of our disobedience by dying on the cross, making a way back to God. Only through accepting the sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf can we be rescued from death and corruption and enter heaven. This is true regardless of how good or bad we think we are.By accepting Jesus as our Savior, God’s new life in us begins now and continues for eternity.God has a plan for every one of us, regardless what age we surrender to Jesus. It is the job of every Christian to share the good news of hope found in Jesus Christ with the world around us.For more on what we believe, visit the Beliefs Page for the Assemblies of God .
